About Baby Lulu’s pacifier chain
I’m going to be an aunt! (Again!) It makes me so happy! So that’s why I’m in the process of designing new things for Baby. Right now we don’t know, if Baby will be boy or girl, so Baby is so far named “Lulu”.
If it’s a boy, Otto (my nephew and future big brother, 4 yo) suggests “Monstertruck”.
Auntie Milla votes for Otto 😉
This Baby Lulu’s pacifier chain is a super easy pacifier chain / pacifier clip / pacifier holder to make, and perfect for all genders.
Time to produce: 20 minutes
Skill level: Medium
Length: 17 cm excl. clip
For this crochet pattern on Baby Lulu’s pacifier chain, you need to be able to crochet around a clip, single crochet in back loops and chains.
But just calm down. If it sounds confusing, scroll down to the bottom: There is video-guides for every part of the crocheted pacifier chain /pacifier clip / pacifier holder 🙂
What you need
You can make them in a multitude of colors, so there is a color to any outfit. They are quick and easy to make, and the “leftovers” from other projects are ideal for this, as not much yarn is used.

Step 1
Crochet around the clip
Check out this video: Crochet around clip
You start with 2 threads of cotton yarn 8/4 at the same time or cotton yarn 8/8 and 1 thread, and crochet hook 4 mm and crochet around the clip.
Here you make 5 single crochet and 1 chain (ch). (It’s an chain that you use, to get up on the next row. You don’t crochet in it, so you start each row in the 2nd stitch from the hook.)
TIP: If you only have 1 ball of yarn, then use the thread from the inside, and the one from the outside at the same time (watch video here).
Step 2
Crochet the pacifier chains “body”
All next rows is: 5 single crochet in the back loop, 1 chain, turn. I made 26 rows (about 14 cm.)
Step 3
The bow for the pacifier
You make a chain, for the pacifier to be attached. You crochet 12 chains (make sure it doesn’t twist, and it is put on right on the other side). Attach it with a slip stitch on the other side.
Step 4
Finish off and attach the tag
Finish off and weave in ends. Attached the “Handmade”-tag. It makes it so pretty.
Now your Baby Lulu’s pacifier chain is done and ready to help keeping track of those wild pacifiers 🙂
