Extra info about the Crochet Pattern: The Herringbone Blanket
- Since the blanket is crocheted with double thread and with a 6 mm hook, it is one of the faster rugs to make. You get some tiles done quickly and it’s really satisfying!
- It gets cozy and fluffy, as it’s with double thread. It makes it very comfortable to lie under, with the extra weight.
- Skill level: Easy (It’s not very difficult to crochet (chains, double crochet and single crochet only), but you have to count a lot, and make sure to comply with all stitch numbers. If you can do that, it’s a “piece of cake” 😅)
- Time to produce: 12 hours
- 10 x 10 cm = 14 S x 7.5 R
- Size: 85 W x 90 H cm.
- (All measurements are before blocking)
Advantages in crocheting a blanket of “squares”/tiles
- You can have it with you everywhere, as you don’t sit with the whole blanket, but with one tile at a time. (Yay! For us who do not get motion sickness 😅)
- It’s quite satisfying, that there are so many sub-goals, you can “check”. Every time a tile is finished, there is a “check” 💪
- It’s just so lovely with all the oblique color changes! 😍 And you can get it exactly the way you want it.
