I highly recommend using wool yarn, as it just melts together in the stitches, and it’s perfect for a sweater look! It uses approx. 15 grams per crocheted Christmas Ornament and the type you need is “23 – 26 stitches / 4 ply or 5 ply / fingering or sport” – all that recommends a 3 mm hook is fine:
Cotton yarn is also fine for these – it will be a little stiffer, but it will work fine.

About this Crochet Pattern: Favorite Christmas Ornament 2024
This years Favorite Christmas Ornament
2024 has been one of the tougher years to get through. I’ve needed a lot of hugs, and that’s why the Christmas Ornament is designed in the look of a woolly sweater. Handmade love. Like a trip to a holiday house in wintertime, where you practically live in that good old woolly sweater, that just feels amazing.
