You use it when a new color is to be applied once or twice to your project, and where you crochet your <a href=\"https:\/\/millabilla.dk\/en\/projekter\/amigurumi-1-magic-ring-crocheted-in-spiral\/\">magic ring in a spiral<\/a>. If you have several color changes than just a single or maybe a few, you need to use this technique: <a href=\"https:\/\/millabilla.dk\/en\/projekter\/amigurumi-2-magic-ring-with-the-most-beautiful-change-of-color\/\">Magic ring with the most beautiful color changes.<\/a><\/p>\n<h3><strong>How to do the normal change of color when crocheting?<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>When you need to change color, finish the part you are working on. You do this by crocheting all the stitches you need, and then make a slip stitch in the next stitch, to pull the round together. Then make a chain, which you tighten well to lock.<\/p>\n<p>Now you come to the color change: It doesn&#8217;t matter, where you choose to start, because the round is closed off. You lay the yarn end on the back of the piece where you want your color change. Then you stick your crochet hook through a stitch and pull the new color through. Now make a slip stitch (take the yarn around the needle, and pull through the loop). Then the yarn is fastened. You start up nicely by making an chain (to get up in height). You do not have to crochet it again, so you skip it when you get there again.
