Crab Stitch are also called &#8220;reversed single crochet&#8221; and are a kind of a backward single crochet. It is a stitch that is perfect for edges\/borders. It can be crocheted on projects such as <a href=\"https:\/\/millabilla.dk\/en\/portfolio_category\/kitchen\/\">dishcloths<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/millabilla.dk\/en\/projekter\/the-completely-round-placemats\/\">placemats<\/a> (which I show here in the video), pacifier chains, baby blankets, potholders, etc.<\/p>\n<p>The expression is a bit like a twist or a rope because it is made backwards. There come these cross lines, which lines up with a bit of space in between. Personally, I think it&#8217;s a really nice edge. It is an edge that has a bit of a roughness, and \u2013 depending on how you want to put together your crochet patterns in your crochet projects \u2013 this is not a bad edge to choose.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>How to crochet the Crab Stitch?<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>When you have finished crocheting your piece completely, do not turn the piece, but take your crochet hook backwards, and crochet a Crab Stitch in the stitch behind. It is a good idea to keep your crochet hook completely straight on the stitches, to make sure that the thread stays on the hook. You just have to get used to the technique a bit, because it is the complete opposite of what you are used to. It&#8217;s a good idea to make them quite loose because it makes them pop out more.<\/p>\n<p>Continue until you are completely done.<\/p>\n<p>Happy crocheting
