About the Dishcloth in Suzette Stitch<\/h2><\/div><\/div><\/div>

My absolute favorite stitch to look at in crocheted dishcloths is the Suzette stitch. It stays nice in shape: When the cloth is brand new, it is nice and square and it still keeps its shape after several washes. It has a nice graphic zig-zag look.<\/p>\n

When I make dishcloths, I do not make a border. I think a border gives it a very soft look and I am quite fond of a raw border. It requires that you crochet completely straight and with the same firmness throughout the cloth, so you get a tight look. The pictures here in the pattern are without a border.<\/p>\n

If you want to make an border, you can make it with single crochet all the way around. Make 3-4 single crochets together in the corner, so it will be square. Make it one side at a time, and check it \u2013 make more \/ less is if it is too tight \/ loose. A border is a good idea, if you are not so experienced yet and would like to hide small flaws. Or if you just think it gives a nicer finish \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>
