Crocheting for me is a bit like comfort food: the soft, woolly yarn and the stitches, which are comfortable to make for the hands, are absolutely perfect, when you need a little extra selfcare.<\/p>\n
2024 has been one of the tougher years to get through. I’ve needed a lot of hugs, and that’s why the Christmas Ornament is designed to look like a woolly sweater. Handmade love. A hug from the crochet hook. Like a trip to a holiday house in wintertime: It’s windy and cold outside, so you bundle up, in front of the fireplace and “hygger” with your family in woolen socks – and that good old woolly sweater, that just feels amazing.<\/p>\n

I would definitely recommend using wool yarn, as it just melts together in the stitches, and it’s perfect for a sweater look! It uses approx. 15 grams per crocheted Christmas Ornament and the type you need is “23 – 26 stitches \/ 4 ply or 5 ply \/ fingering or sport” \u2013 all that recommends a 3 mm hook is fine.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/li>

Off-white: This Drops Baby Merino in the color 02 is absolutely perfect! Unfortunately, there is no particularly good Christmas red in this quality.<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div><\/li>- <\/i><\/span>\n
Christmas red: Another good woolen yarn in a Christmas red color is this one from Drops Nord in color no. 14 Red<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div><\/li>- <\/i><\/span>\n
Christmas red which is more burgundy: This one from Mayflower Easy Care color no. 27 “Wine red” is also really nice! More burgundy than the others.<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div><\/li>- <\/i><\/span>\n
A beautiful beige: Drops Nord Light beige no. 07 is very beautiful. In general, the colors are very nice in this series.<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div><\/li>- <\/i><\/span>\n
Cotton yarn is also fine for these – it will be a little stiffer, but it will work fine.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/li>
