About Mama Anette Bobble Stitch Pillow

My mama is the best and most wonderful mom in the world! She deserves good and lovely things around her, and I therefore made this pillow for her (spoiler: She was happy!).

It is the finest sofa cushion with bobble texture, which gives a playful expression. It is really good to match with pillows of a different quality such as cotton or velour. The “Handmade”-tag gives the pillow a more finished look, and the zipper is inserted, so the pillow can be washed if it should get a little shabby in hygiene.

And! This goes perfect with the other free patterns on my bobble stitch pillows here: Malene Bobble Stitch Pillow and Pops Jens Bobble Stitch Pillow.

Mama Anette Bobble Stitch Pillow

For this Free Crochet Pattern on my Mama Anette Bobble Stitch Pillow you only need to know the bobble stitch and single crochet, so it is not that hard.

You can choose not to insert the zipper and sew it together instead. Here a small amount of yarn can be left inside the pillow, which can be used if the pillow needs to be washed and sewn together again, to make sure, that you have the right color, to sew it back together.

Assembling Mama Anette Bobble Stitch Pillow

Crochet the pieces together

Mor Anette boblepude

Hold the pieces together with the front sides inwards / towards each other.

Crochet the pieces together with single crochet all the way around, leaving an opening in the bottom so that the pillow can come in: Start 2.5 cm inside the bottom right side, single crochet all the way around and finish 2.5 cm inside the bottom. Turn the pillow so that it is inside out.

Sew on the “Handmade”-tag

I have placed the tag in on the right side, where it is sewn in from the back with a few stitches. It gives the pillow a more finished and professional look, and leather is a really nice material contrast to the yarn.

Attaching the zipper

If you choose to attach a zipper, open the zipper, fasten it with clamps and sew around the edge with a sewing needle. (see the video below) Then put the pillow in and voila – your Mama Anette Bobble Stitch Pillow is finished 😀

Sew it together

If you choose to sew the pillow together, roll a small ball of yarn together (1-2 meters) and put it inside. Then the pillow can be cut open once it needs to be washed, and when it needs to be sewn back together, you are sure to have some yarn in the right color.

Insert inner pillow and yarn ball and sew the bottom together with a tapestry needle. And yay! You very own Mama Anette Bobble Stitch Pillow is dooooooone 😀
