About the pacifier chain
Dear Vera’s MEGA pacifier chain is a new version of the er en udvikling af Dear Vera’s pacifier chain, which is a very popular pacifier chain / pacifier clip ❤️
They are a perfect little extra thing in a gift for christenings, birthdays, Christmas presents and of course for your own little loved ones. They don’t take long to make and do not require that many materials.
I would not recommend using the pacifier chain / pacifier clip when sleeping to prevent them from becoming entangled. Use it during the waking hours, so the pacifiers are in control 😍
Time to produce: 25 minutes
Skill level: Medium
Length: 20 cm excl. clip
For this pattern on the Dear Vera’s MEGA pacifier chain, you need to be able to make a chain with single crochet and treble / triple crochet. Click on the links to see video guides there 🤗
What you need
I usually make them in cotton yarn, but because I wanted one that fit the baby blanket I had just made in Baby Merino for Walter, I tested it out. And it worked! So try different yarn types 🤗

Before you get started
Turning chain (tch)
A Turning Chain is a chain, that you use to get up to the next row. It is not a stitch, you have to crochet in again, so it does not count in the “stitch account”. You make it at the end of each row, just before you turn, and it gives a little height to get up, and you therefore avoid getting wavy edges.
The Pattern
These clips are perfect for this design 😍
Step 1
Start: Use hook 2.5 mm and chain 44 + 1 tch. Crochet them a bit loose.
ROW 1 44 sc, 1 tch, turn
ROW 2 4 sc, (skip 3 stitches, 10 tc in the next s, skip 3 stitches, 1 sc) 5 times,
– Now make the pacifier bow with 15 chains, which are attached on the opposite side with a sc. Be careful not to turn the chain. Now you crochet on the opposite side – you don’t turn/flip it, but you rorate it, and crochet on the opposite side of your starting chain.
Step 3
Finish with a chain, that you tighten. Cut the yarn and leave a good end (10-20 cm-ish) to sew the clip on.
Here it is a good idea to choose a clip, which is narrow in the mounting part. I think these round wooden clips are so nice: See them here.
And da daaaa! You’ve now crocheted a pacifier chain / pacifier clip and are going to save a lot of pacifiers from getting lost! 👏😍❤️
